Ren Tori may very well be the biggest con-man you'll ever meet.

On the surface, Ren is a rather normal, law-abiding citizen, one you would always depict wearing a suit and tie. A rather-respected Archeologist and a known donor to the Araki museum, he is well-known for famous finds using the newest technology available to Kaiba Corp. Between tectonic scans, mineral examinations and probability equations, he has led some of the grandest expeditions, reaching further down into tombs never before unearthed!

However, as is well known in the Archeology world, anything unearthed is to be used solely as a cultural study. Nothing can be used for profit, outside of the standard finder's fee... and of course, for Ren, this wasn't enough for him.

Others may call it greed, but Ren felt entitled to be compensated for the hard-to-find, otherwise entirely lost items that he recovered through his own vigor and expertise! Through shady business practices held up by tricking accounting firms to his bidding, he has managed to sell quite a few items on the black market, padding his own wallet to that of a multi-millionaire.

Continued exposure to these objects, especially with such a malicious intent, however, has made him susceptible to the shadow magic around him. Constant nightmares came, which were only settled by a confidence in his deck.

On the surface, he's a completely uptight business man.

Peel away that surface, and he's absolutely insane and dangerous in duels.


Dream: His dream is to ultimately acquire enough wealth to feel comfortable to just stop what he's doing, but the allure of the magic of the artifacts is slowly driving him mad.

Truly, his greed will never be satiated until he finds the ultimate treasure.
