From the Chaos

In the chaos of neither space nor time was a unmistakably human figure. Aletheia felt the pass of the "Absolute Time" and knew that ZONE had failed; in fact, made the situation even worse. Thanks to his various and unfruitful "Historical Time" manipulating, many of the independant realms have become intertwined in a gruesome way, and the End that was detined for Earth and Earth alone had now become the fate of all the realms within the perception of the Akashic Record, the knowledge of all.

-Well, I guess it is up to me to clean up the mess my friend has started

One reassuring factor was that the Crimson Dragon had disappeared out of the "Absolute Time" and will be gone for another 5 millenia - the problem that Paradox faced will not bother him at all. Now hidden in his cloak he always wear when he travels a real realm, Lethe called upon the angel of time. He "knew" that there was still enough energy for one more jump.

-It shall be done,
echoed the voice of Metaion, The Timelord. Lethe was surrounded by a brilliant light of color no human eyes may see, and he was gone. More accurately, he started to exist.

Among the ruins of Ground Zero, a hooded figure appeared out of nowhere. Around him hovered two golden rods, which flew towards opposite directions when the figure muttered something incomprehensibly.

-The Circuit has been set up

The Circuit was a energy generating mechanism of the future that collects Ener-D, or duel energy. It was a perfection in terms of efficiency and secrecy - any excess Ener-D generated during a duel would be collected, and unlike the clumsy prototypes of the past, the duelists themselves would be unharmed. Now every duels in this city will start to power the Circuit - all Lethe had to do was wait.


*Circuit Ener-D level: 50/255 (16+8+4 from preliminary of KOG +1 for each duels Zeek and Shiro and Lethe had)

close duels(winner's life is less than equal to 1000) will power by 5,
synchro summon powers it by extra 1 for each summons,
and successful destiny draws will power it by 10.
Also duels involving shadow duels or some special powers(millenium items, etc) will power it by another 6.
Activated Abilities that revive a dead duelist will power it by 10)

Lethe approached from the behind.
"Is it more destruction you seek? For clearly this area had already experienced far more than its own share."
Lethe wondered what could have called Shiro to this place, as the Circuit does not emit any presence at all and his own power was diminished so much that he doubted he stood out very much. Perhaps it was the immense power of the boy?

"What do you seek, old one? Could it be the boy and the power?"

Lethe sighed. "Are you truely that dull? Do you not know that it is you who has caused this?"
Lethe was still resentful, but he agreed that the situation needed to change. What he didn't expect was for Shiro to come so cooperatively. But he felt safe to share one piece of information with him.
"Your shadow duel and greed has reawakened the disaster that has happened here that fifteen years ago. That is the reason I have stopped your little game."

Lethe followed, his hood still up. A reacter that was piling up with energy, though? Perhaps Shiro does not recognize that a single card is behind all this? But this may as well prove to be interesting, thought Lethe.

"To be honest, there really is no such thing as good or evil - all values are only relative and superficial. But there is something called the working definition - for me, I know enough of this world to know that you have been "evil" all this time, that it is the kinds of you that eventually will bring the end......"

Just then, Lethe noticed what had been the cause of the commotion. He could not believe his eyes at first - how could something like this elude him all this time? There existed another?? For the first time in his long life, Lethe was surprised.

"Do not touch that card!"

"It does not matter who has the card - the fact that one has the card causes all the problems!"

Lethe saw that Shiro's eyes were gleaming with greed again - there would be no stopping him. Lethe sighed again, and produced a duel disk of gleaming green light out of thin air in front of him.
"Must it come to this...? "

Reluctantly, Lethe drew 5 cards. "All right lets settle this like civilized men. But remember - no shadow powers near that card"

He smirked and stopped from grabbing the card then he looked at Lethe. "Winner gets the card. DUEL!" He then drew his first 5 cards and looked at his hand with a smirk. "Alright my turn I Draw and activate Hieratic Seal of Convocation and search for Hieratic Dragon of Gebeb from my Deck. Next I'll normal summon Gebeb!." He looked up at Lethe awaiting to see a response now after seeing none he continued his play. "Now then I tribute Gebeb to special summon Hieratic Dragon of Su. Since Gebeb was Tributed I Special Summon 1 Normal Hieratic Dragon from my hand, Deck or Graveyard and reduce its ATK and DEF to 0. So I Special Summon Hieratic Seal of the Sun Dragon Overlord from my Deck in defense position! Next I'll enter Battle Phase." He now looked at Lethe to see if he had anything to his entering Battle Phase. "Now then Su attack his face-down monster!

As he said this a large bright red flame appeared on the ground and from it rose the monster he just Xyz summoned surrounded by his overlay units. He seemed to be burning with the power of the Sun itself. He then looked at Lethe to see if there was a response to the summon.
