Lethe walked back to Ground Zero, slowly and seeming to savor each step. He knew the time was right - the tournament alone would have been insufficient to fully power the Circuit, but there was a far quicker bank of energy here, a tool of greed nevertheless, but a source that would be enough to realize the great end.
"Keter, Chokhmah, Binah"
Lethe chanted, summoning the two golden rods that has been collecting the Ener-D in the city.
"Chesed, Gevurah, Tiferet"
Lethe had arrived at the building where Zeek had hidden his armor. The two rods formed a circle around the armor, and the rainbow colored lights of the Circuit started forming a shape.
"Netzach, Hod, Yesod"
Lethe continued chanting slowly, taking care not to mix up the order as ZONE had. He threw the card of the Doom Dragon into the light. The card shined brightly for a moment, and soon was shred to pieces. There was no use for such powers anywhere anyways.
"...Malkuth"
With that the Circuit was complete. The tree of Sephirot was formed by the brilliant lights of the millenium armor and the Circuit.
"and finally I reveal the hidden sephirot - Da'at. Come forth, the power of Malak XXXX!"
Lethe's robe flew off. There was no longer a need for secrecy, no longer anything to hide. Lethe the hidden was no more - he was now Aletheia. His voice was heard and understood by all beings of the planet, whom by now would have started to notice the trembling of the heavens and earth.
"I am Aletheia, the Unhidden, the truth. Foolish and ignorant beings of this world, hear my words. Your endless and reckless greed exceeds even the nine realms, and it will have resulted in the destruction of all. I now end your time, in hope that others need not be sacrificed for your deeds. Resent only your own foolishness and greed..."
There was no resistance, no "hero" to "save" this city, this world. Not like the episode of Zone and Yusei.
The completion of the Tree grants the rights to change the world - and the world was now obeying his orders. The fabrics of time and space began to shatter, binding all in both light and darkness. There was no pain - he was at least that much merciful. After a while, all that was left of the universe was a mix of nothing and everything. A state Aletheia was not new to.
There was only a hint of sadness on his face after destroying an entire dimension. It was for the greater good - one sacrifice to save eight, all of which were to be doomed if not for this sacrifice anyways. Was it not a right choice, a choice anyone in his position would have taken?
Aletheia looked at the Akashic Record for the one last time, for he no longer had the reasons nor the means to continue his existance as the last remnent of a world now lost. He wished to see one last time the image of the worlds he saved. He saw nothing. The void that was destined remained.
And he despaired.
